The team at Silver Arrow Specialist Recruitment have just returned from a successful weekend at Truck Fest, held at the Cheshire Showground in Knutsford. Truckfest is one of the UK’s biggest transport festivals and celebrates all that is new and relevant within the haulage industry.
The event provides a powerful platform for connecting with new and existing clients and reinforcing the Silver Arrow name is another reason why Silver Arrow exhibit at Truck Fest.
As well as trade stands, food stalls, musical entertainment and a kids area and fair, there were celebrity appearances much to the delight of truck fans who travelled from all over the country to meet their idols. Ice road Truckers stars Lisa Kelly and Todd Dewey and Jesse McClure from Storage Hunters greeted fans throughout the weekend.
The celebrities also took part in challenges and hosted events from the main arena. Terry Grant, a stunt driver for Tom Cruise delighted fans as well as stunts with monster trucks.
Truck Fest also featured manufacturers, both local and national fleet operators and owner drivers with many of the businesses exhibiting running competitions, including Silver Arrow who were giving away a brand new ipad! Silver Arrow General Manager Kara McCabe spent the weekend at the event and had the opportunity to meet many drivers, and businesses within the transport industry. Kara stated;
‘Trade shows and exhibitions are not only a great way to gain new business but also to learn more about the current direction of the industry. You have the luxury of having so many like minded people and businesses in one small space so its a great way to share knowledge, opinions and ideas to the benefit of the logistics industry.”
